Description
FRANCODEX VITAMIN C TREATS are an innovative way of giving your guinea pig his daily dose of vitamin C. These treats can be used as the main source of vitamin C, or to supplement another source of vitamin C (liquid, fresh vegetables,tablets, etc.). The daily vitamin C requirement for healthy guinea pigs is 20mg/kg. This requirement triples during illness, convalescence, gestation and lactation (60mg/kg).
Composition
Cereals, oils and fats, derivatives of vegetable origin (inulin 0,25%), fruit (powdered apple 1%), mineral substances.
Additives (/kg): nutritional additives: vitamin C 11111 mg, vitamin E (RRR alpha tocopherol) 112 mg, vitamin A 1000 IU, vitamin D3 150 IU - sensory additives: Echinacea extract 3000 mg - antioxidant.
Analytical constituents: crude protein 8%, crude ash 2%, crude fat 27% (Omega-3 fatty acids: 1,2%), crude fibre 2,5%, moisture content 7%.
Energy (metabolisable energy): 4448 kcal/kg, or 4 kcal per treat. Each treat contains 10 mg of vitamin C.
Manual
Preventive use :
Guinea Pig < 1 kg : 2 treats per day
Guinea Pig > 1 kg : 3 treats per day.
Convalescence, gestation and lactation periods : triple the dos i.e. 6 treats per day.
Preferably wait until your pet is weaned (10 weeks old) before giving treats to young rodents.
This food supplement is not a substitute for a balanced diet. Use within one month of opening.
Precautions of use
Keep fresh water readily available. If used at the same time as other vitamin C supplements, follow the recommended daily doses. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool and dry place. Product not suitable for human consumption.
